I write this blog. It does not represent anyone else's opinions or perspectives. Regardless of employers or clients or any other associations, this is my blog and it does not speak for anyone else. I have learned that perception is more powerful than reality. So, we get to experience the joys of claiming and disclaiming. Isn't that super!

Vancouver 2010 Olympics

With the official start of the winter games happening today, I’m having a good time this morning checking out various sites related to the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.  It’s particularly fun being close, now that I am back living in Seattle, WA, just a couple/few hours south of Vancouver, BC.  I may try to go up [...]

rain

So, I’ve been back in Minneapolis, Minnesota now, for at least a little while, long enough to soak in some major differences between here and Seattle, Washington.  One big one that I’ve commented about before is the rain.  Everyone thinks of Seattle and rain.  Well, if that’s the case, since being back in the Midwest [...]

Podcasts and Inspirations and Minnesota

I’m listening to Garrison Keillor’s The Writer’s Almanac.  It was easy to fetch via iTunes and have it sync on my new iPhone.  I’m inspired, both by the ease with which this technology works, and by the soothing voice of Garrison Keillor.  It just seams to put things in perspective… you know, Lake Wobegon and [...]

abundant sunshine

simply gorgeous – who can resist “abundant sunshine” ?!  :D

surprise visit from my folks

My mom and dad stopped by today.  (I’m house sitting in Racine, WI.)  They were passing through on their way back to Minnesota from a wedding in Georgia.  It was good to see them for a little bit.  And, they sure are having some good driving weather!  It’s gorgeous here today.

allergies and a pollen alert

For quite a while now (several years) I’ve been fairly allergy free.  Yesterday afternoon I started to feel really lousy, with a terrible headache.  I ended up going to bed shortly after getting home from work.  I thought it would be a nap and then I’d be fine.  It turns out that I slept all [...]

It is not always rainy in Seattle.

Turning Point

May 15th – Spring here in Seattle, WA is starting to feel more like Summer.
The air outside is warmer than the air inside.
Sitting out on the deck is now done without a little space heater.
I can just feel it.  It’s warmer and the daylight hours are getting longer.
Several months of AWESOME weather are ahead.

I think [...]
