I got a new MacBook Air this month. I find it worthy to note that I did not “switch” to Mac. I added a Mac, as in PC plus Mac. There are a number of things that work better on each. There are a number of things that are worse on each. As I do various personal and professional projects, having this diversity is a big help.
When asked why I got a Mac, my response is consistent. I got a Mac because they have made things so seamless and so cool that I wanted in. Mac has also started to support many other things that were previously only on a PC.
Actually, now that I think about it, a Mac is a PC. It’s all computer stuff. The MacBook Air is cool enough to draw me in. I think a lot of the chatter about what’s lacking on the MacBook Air is mostly from people who don’t have one. For example, I had a Tablet PC for a couple years. It did not have an optical drive. I did fine.
I think we’re all better when we decide to be more simple and when we actually act accordingly. Everyone can complain. I chose to enjoy.
