jimsmuse~ I think my reading list is about 6 or 7 books long right now. Some more AB may just have to get bumped up the list. Cheers!

Kitchen Confidential is one of my favorites. If you can find it, read his novel Bone In the Throat. The character of the Chef, (clearly a thinly disguised version of Bourdain himself) is talented, arrogant, detestable, and laugh out loud funny all at the same time.

jimsmuse~ Blame it on Anthony Bourdain! I've been reading Kitchen Confidential. It's like creative writing never looked so non-sharp! :P

I want to find every Boy Scout Handbook and replace "A Scout Is..." with the above list.

In case you forgot, the original goes "A Scout Is...trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent."

I like your version better!
