I write this blog. It does not represent anyone else's opinions or perspectives. Regardless of employers or clients or any other associations, this is my blog and it does not speak for anyone else. I have learned that perception is more powerful than reality. So, we get to experience the joys of claiming and disclaiming. Isn't that super!

Understanding This 2.0 Stuff

RSS in Plain English

Social Networking in Plain English

Wikis in Plain English

This is how I found these videos.  Jeremiah Owyang gave a Hat Tip to Lee Lefever for Common Craft Show.  I’ve had the RSS one linked in the upper right of this blog on my sidebar for a while now.  These other two compliment that one very well.

As different people learn in different ways, these videos do an excellent job describing and educating, not to mention they make it much easier for me to reference them than to try to explain this stuff myself.  ;)

  2. Toby,

Thanks for this information on Technorati and Social Networking. I am 56 years old, recently became a caregiver and started a caregivers blog about a month ago. Needless to say, I don’t understand quite a few things about how to get people to find my blog and how to find other blogs on the same subject. So I am doing a lot of research. This was very helpful.

Also, I love your blog’s design – simple and clean.

  3. Valerie~ That’s great, both that you’ve started a blog and that you’re doing your homework. I added links to this information because questions about it were frequent and these links describe and answer way better than I can. I’m so glad you found it helpful and best wishes in your new blog!
