I write this blog. It does not represent anyone else's opinions or perspectives. Regardless of employers or clients or any other associations, this is my blog and it does not speak for anyone else. I have learned that perception is more powerful than reality. So, we get to experience the joys of claiming and disclaiming. Isn't that super!

The injury bug hits another late 20′s athlete.

This time it happens to be my younger brother, Tim.  And, I do not envy his injury.  Tim, our prayers are with you for quick healing.

Fortunately, I got to see his game last week.  Unfortunately, there will not be any more.  I can relate to ending my competitive basketball career about 6 or so years ago, after I had my 4th surgery on the same knee, all for injuries related to basketball and jogging.

After that last injury, my priorities and focus also shifted.  I think it’s fairly common to happen around that time of life.  I did try to come back and play a little basketball a year or so ago (maybe it’s two years ago now) and it went ok, except that I hurt my back.  :(   I sure hope Tim can stay healthy.  It sounds like he’s got plenty of other things to enjoy.
