I write this blog. It does not represent anyone else's opinions or perspectives. Regardless of employers or clients or any other associations, this is my blog and it does not speak for anyone else. I have learned that perception is more powerful than reality. So, we get to experience the joys of claiming and disclaiming. Isn't that super!

from a few minutes ago (Pacific time)

Emily says (11:28 AM):
it’s sad. i feel strangely distanced from the whole thing, at least for the moment. this is a really small town, but no one i know personally was injured or killed. the campus has been mostly blocked off. . . it just feels surreal.

Toby Getsch says (11:29 AM):
hmmm… It’s hard to know what to think or feel.

Toby Getsch says (11:29 AM):
surreal is a good descriptor, and I’m a few thousand miles away

Emily says (11:30 AM):
yeah. people seem to say this just about any time a similar incident occurs, but it’s just almost impossible to believe that this happened HERE.

Emily says (11:30 AM):
my office overlooks the tiny blacksburg airport, so my coworkers and i just watched four huge military helicopters deliver the President and his entourage. crazy.
