Here are links to the interview I did regarding the USA Voice phishing scam. The first link is to the text story. The second is to the video posted on the news site for a Florida news channel.

(FYI, the current ads at the beginning of the videos are pointed, but last only a few seconds. The video is there, right after the ad. You’ll understand why I say this when you watch the video.)

Mom, Naomi, and I enjoyed (appreciated) the video introduced by Don Shelby.
How Did you get selected for such and honor?
Well done.
Thanks.
Love, Dad
There was 3 hours of taping and each station airs it with their own little spin and their own newscasters. I’ve never met any of the newscasters (except Don Shelby from WCCO, because his daughter(s) went to Hopkins High School and I used to play pickup basketball with him back before he had all gray hair).
I think the original producer who works for some syndication network that various stations subscribe to – was the original writer. I don’t know for sure. The local Sr. Photographer from King 5 here in Seattle was the only person I ever met in person, and I did the interview with him. They took that audio and different stations run it with their own flavor.
They picked it up off the syndication network where I guess they can download it. The original story was because the Washington Post had a story about World Voice, the new name for USA Voice – both scams. Then this producer from out East called me to interview me as she found my blog post when I wrote about USA Voice being a scam. She interviewed me on the phone and then setup the in person interview with the local TV station.
The next I heard of anything was when Kris Johnson called me and said his dad called him to let him know they saw me on TV in Florida, on their vacation. I found all the stories because I searched for my name online. Here’s a sample search that shows lots more stations have picked it up now.

Kind of a funky story how it all happened. Kind of fun too.
