I write this blog. It does not represent anyone else's opinions or perspectives. Regardless of employers or clients or any other associations, this is my blog and it does not speak for anyone else. I have learned that perception is more powerful than reality. So, we get to experience the joys of claiming and disclaiming. Isn't that super!

wiping the slate clean, ground zero, all caught up now

Due to my new job and trying to stay balanced with work/personal life, I am just going to wipe the slate clean here.  From right now, I am going to consider my blogging up to date, and all my personal email up to date.  I’m only going to respond very briefly, declining any consulting solicitations, etc.  (I’m specifically calling out that “etc.” here because I’m sure I’m missing something.)

This is a simple move to avoid stress and procrastination.  If you’re expecting anything from me that you really need, feel free to contact me directly and remind me.  Otherwise, this is ground zero, and I’m all caught up.

  • Disco: I will post those videos you wanted.
    (Isn’t Disco a great nickname?!)
  • Julia: I will call you to respond to your questions about advertising.
  • Other solicitations for consulting work: I’m booked up and am not going to spend any energy responding in any detail.  I will likely only point to this blog post’s URL, and politely apologize.

Thank you for understanding.

UPDATE: I’m also unsubscribing from a bunch of feeds.  Some of them are really popular.  They’re just not adding value to my life right now.  I need to focus on things that are more in line with my personal and professional priorities.  I think this is *REALLY* healthy in the long run, but it feels a little off right now, at first, while stopping to pay attention to a lot of various things that have taken up a lot of my time over the past year.
