I write this blog. It does not represent anyone else's opinions or perspectives. Regardless of employers or clients or any other associations, this is my blog and it does not speak for anyone else. I have learned that perception is more powerful than reality. So, we get to experience the joys of claiming and disclaiming. Isn't that super!

separation of integrity and legality

I’ve often been exposed to different ways of making decisions in business.  Most of the time, those decisions are a bit easier to make, if they first run through my normal integrity filter.  The times when they are harder are when they get through that filter and then there is still further discussion about the viability and impact of a decision.

This morning I came across this post by Jeff Cornwall.  He’s the Director of the Belmont University Center for Entrepreneurship.  I’m glad there are ‘centers’ like that.  I think he does a good job of explaining how integrity based decision making makes for a better work environment.  I don’t really think it has as much to do with religion as with integrity.  That being said, I too base a lot of my decisions on values that have deep roots in my “religion.”

BTW, I don’t really like to describe my belief structure in terms of religions.  I like to describe it in terms of relationships.  If you want to know more, I’ve written some about that on my about page.
