I write this blog. It does not represent anyone else's opinions or perspectives. Regardless of employers or clients or any other associations, this is my blog and it does not speak for anyone else. I have learned that perception is more powerful than reality. So, we get to experience the joys of claiming and disclaiming. Isn't that super!

Get off my desktop, and get online!

I take back all the nice things I said about client side computing. I was wrong! UPDATE: I’m not certain that “client side computing” is the right name or wording. I’m referring to designing things that require less of the distributed computers and more of bigger servers online – maybe I’m calling an emphasis to [...]

a piece of my desktop

Using OneNote‘s Screen Clipping, this is a piece of my current desktop. Watching today’s Rocketboom, CNN via Slingbox (must have been between channels at the time), about to watch a new Virtual Earth 3D video, and online w/ Windows Live Messenger… And, that’s my truck in the background, from a trip to Wyoming this past summer. Flooding in WA State

I mentioned the weather forecast in a post yesterday.  Well, in some spots there was up to 6 inches of rain in 24 hours.  There is some flooding in areas that are about 15 minutes from where I live and other areas.  It was just on CNN with a guy standing on his car roof. [...]

Virtual Earth 3D is Mega-cool!

Virtual Earth 3D is very nice, very quick and pretty simple to use.  It makes me feel like I’m in the Sit. Room of a West Wing episode.  There’s also an ad-in for Outlook to do mapping of appointment addresses and (if needed) include travel times in those as well. IMO, this challenges tops Google [...]
