    I write this blog. It does not represent anyone else's opinions or perspectives. Regardless of employers or clients or any other associations, this is my blog and it does not speak for anyone else. I have learned that perception is more powerful than reality. So, we get to experience the joys of claiming and disclaiming. Isn't that super!

sometimes it takes longer than desired

As we all try to learn and grow, sometimes it takes longer than desired to reach our goals.  Timing and patience have been the theme for me lately.

=====

I’ve been working out and eating healthy, but the weight loss is not as rapid as desired.  I’ve been prospecting for new employers, but responses have been slow.  I’ve been writing and blogging more frequently, but traffic has gone down.

Flip…

Because I’ve been working out, I’m stronger than I’ve been in several years.  As I’m prospecting for new employers, my interview skills keep improving and I’m finding more good companies.  While blogging more, I’m discovering more about my own writing style.

=====

If it’s worth having, it’s worth working for.  That still doesn’t mean everything turns out how we want, and when we want.  Sometimes it’s being a journeyman that stretches us the most.  We see a lot around us, and we learn about what we like.  And, we keep on working.
