- Then they can track my blog because Internet Explorer 7 has built-in RSS feed tracking that is as easy to manage as all the rest of the favorites or bookmarks that everyone is already used to.
- If you don’t understand feeds yet… you will. It’s a way to track updates without having to go visit each individual page and look around to see what has changed… great for blogs and other news sources and lots of things like that, where the info changes often.
- IE7 has tabbed browsing built-in. This is a clean way to have multiple Internet pages open, and to see what is on each one, without cluttering up that valuable monitor space with a whole bunch of windows being open.
- There are great tool bars that really help manage frequent tasks or things that were often more complicated in the past. You can get your favorite Google or Yahoo toolbars. They all integrate right in, and are improved with the new version of Internet Explorer.
- Printing is so much better. Do IE7 just for that, if you need to print. The biggest thing I like there is that you can print just the portion of the text that you’ve already selected on the screen. That saves paper and avoids all the ‘extra stuff’ that you never wanted to print (ads from an email, or graphics from a web site, etc.)
- Because I’ve been using the betas and previous release candidates for quite a while, and you guys just about always end up doing the stuff I recommend. Why not just do this one now, and get it over with.
UPDATE: Here is a site for IE Add-Ons.

So does Firefox! I haven’t used IE7 as of yet, however I’ve been thrilled with the speed of Firefox 2.
Not to mention exploits and bugs in Firefox tend to get fixed MUCH faster than those in IE.
Again, being a pain.
Dave, I use Firefox a ton as well. And, I have the latest RC too. And, I frequently use it as my default browser.
But, I’m not about to try to explain that to my family, even if it is faster (which it is!).
[...] I don’t think my family will have the same problems, because I don’t think they’re using as much beta software and have as many personalized settings as I do. So, I’m still recommending it for them. [...]
