I write this blog. It does not represent anyone else's opinions or perspectives. Regardless of employers or clients or any other associations, this is my blog and it does not speak for anyone else. I have learned that perception is more powerful than reality. So, we get to experience the joys of claiming and disclaiming. Isn't that super!

PCT NOBO from Snoqualmie Pass, WA

For today’s exercise, I’m heading out for a day hike.  Yesterday I drove around in the mountains for a few hours.  It’s another nice day today, and I want to enjoy the beautiful area, here near Seattle.

I hear some of the best views in the whole state, and even on the whole Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), lie northbound (NOBO) from Snoqualmie Pass, about 6 miles.  If I leave now, I should be able to be there and hiking within about an hour.  At a minimum of about 2 miles per hour, I should be done before dark with ease.  I expect to do closer to 3 mph since I only have a small day pack and also have been doing a whole lot of walking over the past few months.

It’s a fairly popular trail and maybe I’ll see some thru-hikers too.  I’ll check in at the hotel and see if any have signed the guestbook recently.

Here’s the weather forecast for that area for the next few hours.
