I’ve been using Windows Live OneCare for over a year now, since it was in beta. It is not a beta product any more. It does just what it says it will do. They have a new web site to help out if you have a virus or other safety issues or concerns.
Now, quit your complaining and use these tools! I’ve proposed solutions like this for about 7 years. The only virus I’ve ever had to wrangle was the Luv Bug back in 2000. So, you can keep doing whatever you want. This advice works.
