I was going to post about how interviews for jobs would be better if they were different than most of them are right now. Then I thought about it for a few days and realized something. I haven’t interviewed for a job in a at least a couple years!
So, I think I’ll hold most of my comments. They probably need a fresh perspective.
The spur that got me thinking here was a post by Seth Godin about the interview process. Similar to that post, he also posted about juggling, which really had nothing to do with juggling.
A few friends of mine have been doing some interviewing and job searching – - well, more like life searching. I do have one comment that I think I will share.
In my opinion and from my perspective, it is very important to know what we want and what interests us as we move towards gainful employment. Those people who know and understand this usually do better. Those that do not, usually meander through life, without a foundation. Does anyone know what happens when there is no good foundation? Yeah. That’s my comment.
