I write this blog. It does not represent anyone else's opinions or perspectives. Regardless of employers or clients or any other associations, this is my blog and it does not speak for anyone else. I have learned that perception is more powerful than reality. So, we get to experience the joys of claiming and disclaiming. Isn't that super!

just updated My Blogroll

It turns out that as I was trying to filter through My Blogroll, I ended up at exactly the number of feeds I was trying to get down too, 100. I’ve been up to the 200 range. That’s too much info to follow for me, for what I want to spend time on right now. Even at 100, I find myself only skimming quite a bit. A lot of stuff I really dive into and totally absorb.

Anyway, it’s posted if you’re interested. I’ve done this about a dozen times or so. I have all the old OPML files I used if anyone is ever interested. That way I can always go back and find something if I can’t find a certain feed that I may have followed in the past.

Because I use Newsgator along with FeedDemon, My Blogroll OPML is always current for what I’m reading now. That all gets synched together in real time, and Newsgator allows me to publish that OPML. To use it in any practical way, you’d probably want to do a ‘save as’ with the My Blogroll OMPL link and then have that saved xml file to use. The Bloglines setup is a little different because I have to export from FeedDemon and then re-import into Bloglines. I really only use Bloglines to host My Blogroll because I like they way it does it on a nice web page for any viewers who don’t follow this stuff and just are curious about what I’m reading. There is a similar feature for that with Newsgator, but I have to host that on a web page with some javascript and I just haven’t messed with that.

Enjoy… my fellow geeks!
