0300 hours – That would be 3:30 AM. I woke up and just started going. The hour or two before the birds start chirping is so, so calm and quiet. Peace. I’ll take it, especially considering all the rest of the stuff in the news.
If I’m willing to not fight the silly urge that says, “It’s too early so I must try hard to keep sleeping.” the solitude I can have early in the morning is amazing. (I like sleeping in too. But, if I wake up on my own, I don’t fight it.) It doesn’t take long, and then the hustle and bustle begins. There were no more than a few cars that drove by in those first couple hours. Shortly after that, there were 20 or 30 cars within only a few minutes.
Now it’s about 7 hours later. If I didn’t write this post, I might have forgotten how peaceful it was earlier. It’s still a peaceful, pleasant day. But, it’s that hustle and bustle that is more obvious now.

WOW, that’s early. If I’m up that early it’s because I’ve been out and about, but I’ve not gotten up that early for anything other than bringing people to the airport.
Brutal. Still want to barbeque tonight? Kevin and Carrie are coming over. Possibly a few others as well.
Hey Dave~ Yeah, a BBQ sounds fun. I’ll take this one offline.
