I write this blog. It does not represent anyone else's opinions or perspectives. Regardless of employers or clients or any other associations, this is my blog and it does not speak for anyone else. I have learned that perception is more powerful than reality. So, we get to experience the joys of claiming and disclaiming. Isn't that super!

good exercise

I’ve been getting plenty of exercise lately. I feel a lot better. I tweaked my back a few weeks ago and have needed to adjust to a bit of pain. The last few days have really gone well. It’s a lot more work to get good exercise that most people think. It takes time, and a bunch of gettin’ off your ass.

I’ve been walking 3 to 4 miles a day at a brisk pace, doing about an hour of stretching, eating more healthy, and drinking better quality coffee. Hehehe… I think it’s all the coffee that’s making the difference! Maybe I’ll go make some now. After all, it just turned to “tomorrow” here.

BTW, does everyone realize that it can never be tomorrow? People often notice the time, like I just did, and see that maybe it’s 12:01 AM and say, “Wow! It’s tomorrow already.” No, it’s always today! ;)

I just did a second round of stretching for today, and I feel a bit better. It got my blood moving and I’m more awake than I want to be. That, plus a decent nap this afternoon are probably all contributing to my alertness. Come to think of it, I got a lot of exercise today.

I sorted out a ton of clothes and threw out a few bags of things (literally a few big garbage bags full of stuff) and also brought 5 bags to Goodwill. Keep in mind that I am one person. So, removing 8 big bags of stuff from my residence has left me feeling much less like a pack-rat. (I am in no way a pack-rat. I don’t like keeping things. I just happened to not go through stuff and clean out very often, like I did today.) I also did a few loads of laundry and reorganized my closets. The closets are still not like I want them to be, but they are much better than they were. And, I did a bunch of vacuuming and had to fix the vacuum cleaner that broke while I was using it.

So, today was a good exercise in “house cleaning” and also a good dose of good-old working out exercise. Feels good.

For “tomorrow,” and the 4th of July, I’m planning on going to a friends place for a little gathering and watching some fire works. When I asked if I could bring anything, I was told desert would be good… but it’s a surprise. (Just in case any of those people happen to read this before the festivities, I think it’ll be very tasty!)

It’s nice to have some holiday time. More people are enjoying their families and friends and lots more people are out and about. I like that ‘community’ feeling and saying hello more often. It’s like the hustle of life just slows down for few days and people relax and enjoy each other. That’s really quite pleasant.

I think I am going to make some coffee. Yes, Mom, I know that would be nutty to you to have coffee at this hour. But, that’s ok. I don’t want to have avocados at every meal like you do either. (I say that with love and adoration!)
