A Monday Morning
It all started as a regular Monday morning, the exact same as almost all of the most recent ones. I started it by feeling the warm glow of the eastern sun shining on my face and the slight breeze of the comfortable, fresh air from a summer morning. It’s about 7 AM and the breeze is nice right now, but I can feel that it’s going to be another hot day. Well… that, plus the fact that I probably check the weather at least twice a day and that’s what those “experts” say.
Thoughts enter my mind. I think how blessed I am to have the sun wake me up, and how peaceful it is. I think how blessed others are to have kids or pets that may open up a day. I think how blessed I am right now to like waking up in the mornings and how infrequently I actually need an alarm clock. I think further to my other surroundings and how blessed I am to be able have running water and warm water and electricity – and to drive on such nice roads…
…and then the jack hammer working construction on the street in front of my place started another 30 second blast.
GOOD MORNING!
