I write this blog. It does not represent anyone else's opinions or perspectives. Regardless of employers or clients or any other associations, this is my blog and it does not speak for anyone else. I have learned that perception is more powerful than reality. So, we get to experience the joys of claiming and disclaiming. Isn't that super!

tweblog.com – updated blogroll and OPML file, using FeedDemon 2.0 RC1, NewsGator, and Bloglines

I just updated my FeedDemon to 2.0 RC1 (the latest build 2.0.0.18) and exported my blogroll from FeedDemon to an OPML file, removed all feeds from Bloglines, and then imported the updated OPML file back into Bloglines.  There are now about 180 feeds.  It’s been growing at about a dozen additions per month as a net change.

Earlier this month I did an update prior to using the new version 2.0 of FeedDemon.  That was not nearly as smooth as what I did today.  This new version makes synchronizing, updating, publishing and reading feeds much cleaner.  This world of RSS and getting info like we want to get it continues to improve!

My opml is now provided in a handy way directly from NewsGator.  NewsGator is the company that owns FeedDemon and Bloglines.  The theory is that everything will be able to synchronize well together.  So, I shouldn’t have to keep updating my opml file because it will just stay in sync.  The link for my blogroll2 -test will similarly update and stay in sync, but I still have some work to get that right.  I think it’s supposed to be a script to insert in a blog, but I’m doing it a little different with using just an html link.

Like I said, this world of RSS and getting info like we want to get it continues to improve!
