I write this blog. It does not represent anyone else's opinions or perspectives. Regardless of employers or clients or any other associations, this is my blog and it does not speak for anyone else. I have learned that perception is more powerful than reality. So, we get to experience the joys of claiming and disclaiming. Isn't that super!

12:00 PM – John Yokoyama, Author, entrepreneur & owner of the world famous Pike Place Fish Market

His story is great.  He changed his approach to business and life.  He wasn’t always fun to work for or work with.  He wasn’t always respected.  He didn’t always respect those around him.

The affect of his change has been enormously positive.

My take away is one simple statement that he made.  “You have to support your people, for them to support you back.”

Yeah!  Yes!  Shazam!  That’s obvious.  That’s an obvious zinger for all employers who think they own their employees or who do not respect their employees.

I also need to work on changing the conversation between my ears about all the people who have damaged and hurt me.  When I have a more positive internal conversation then I will notice improved relationships with those around me.  I gotta keep my side of the street clean.  I can do that.  The rest is out of my control.
