I write this blog. It does not represent anyone else's opinions or perspectives. Regardless of employers or clients or any other associations, this is my blog and it does not speak for anyone else. I have learned that perception is more powerful than reality. So, we get to experience the joys of claiming and disclaiming. Isn't that super!

I’m so glad to have this week’s ending drawing nigh. Is anyone else loving that it’s Friday? Facebook Digg Print Email

more info on the IE ActiveX change

From Mike Nash, via the IE blog: http://blogs.technet.com/msrc/archive/2006/03/29/423560.aspx I posted about this earlier today.  Obviously it sucks big piles of poo for any of us who have to go do a bunch of work to make our web sites work ok now. I’m a *HUGE* Microsoft fan.  They got a black eye on this.  They [...]

patent – annoying – grrr… lot’s of work

In this article, the comment that sticks out to me is this. “The big push now is for developers to recode Web sites and Web applications to cater for the browser update. If not, users won’t be able to directly interact with Microsoft ActiveX controls loaded by the APPLET, EMBED or OBJECT elements without first [...]

new ride

Per a previous post, my HEMI has arrived.  Check out the features link on the site to see details and videos.  I particularly like the 360 degree views. Exterior: http://www.jeep.com/commander/360/index.html Select Dark Khaki Perl for exterior color and Saddle Brown for interior color. Interior: http://www.jeep.com/commander/360/interior.html Select Saddle Brown for color change and black for inpane change. I’m sure I’ll add some [...]

more ugly design/anti-marketing conversation

Aaron Gerdes comments about ugly design.  Scoble commented about anti-marketing.  I commented about anti-marketing a few days ago.  Today, I commented about both in the comments on Aaron’s site, and am reposting those here. Your post here is well said. However, I think the point of what Scoble was trying to get at is very [...]

tweblog.com – updated blogroll and OPML file, using FeedDemon 2.0 RC1, NewsGator, and Bloglines

I just updated my FeedDemon to 2.0 RC1 (the latest build 2.0.0.18) and exported my blogroll from FeedDemon to an OPML file, removed all feeds from Bloglines, and then imported the updated OPML file back into Bloglines.  There are now about 180 feeds.  It’s been growing at about a dozen additions per month as a net change. Earlier this month I [...]

hot coffee & chillin’

I’m at the busiest Starbucks in the world.  This store does more business in a day than many small businesses do in an entire year – or even several years.  They are open 24 hours.  They are located by people – by the University of Washington and near Seattle.  And, they have great service. It’s [...]

various online tools and resources from Broadband Reports, DNS Stuff and PC Pitstop

I’ve used all of these online resources over the years, at various times to try to troubleshoot or ensure things are setup and working the way that is desired.  I am not affiliated with any of them, just a user and providing links here.  If you know of other links or great tools like these, [...]
