Do you think we’re going to get some snow? I’d take a snow day. Actually, today would be nice for that. I’m not feeling so great, and couldn’t sleep. So, up-and-at-em it is. I’m watching CNN with their “oh so interesting” reporting on all the snowy weather out East. (That’s me patronizing CNN. For a guy from Minnesota, the stories about snow are as boring as watching rain fall our here in the Seattle area.) BTW, you can always tell how slow the news on CNN is based on how many commercials there are. If the news is big, there are not many. If the news is huge, there are none. COLDER WEATHER PATTERN WILL DEVELOP IN THE WEEK AHEAD…
A DRAMATIC CHANGE IN THE WEATHER PATTERN WILL BRING COLDER AIR TO THE REGION THIS WEEK. AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL BRING A COLDER AIR MASS TO THE AREA TUESDAY. THE SNOW LEVEL WILL DROP TO NEAR SEA LEVEL TUESDAY NIGHT.
A COLD CANADIAN HIGH WILL DEVELOP OVER BRITISH COLUMBIA AND ALBERTA BY THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK. BITTERLY COLD ARCTIC AIR WILL MOSTLY STAY EAST OF THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE…HOWEVER SOME CANADIAN AIR WILL SEEP INTO WESTERN WASHINGTON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL COOL TO WELL BELOW NORMAL BY THE END OF THE WEEK.
THERE WILL BE A CHANCE FOR SNOW SHOWERS DOWN TO SEA LEVEL AT TIMES IN THE WEEK AHEAD. COLD GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS WILL DEVELOP OVER WHATCOM COUNTY AFTER MIDWEEK. STAY TUNED TO THE LATEST UPDATES FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.
