I write this blog. It does not represent anyone else's opinions or perspectives. Regardless of employers or clients or any other associations, this is my blog and it does not speak for anyone else. I have learned that perception is more powerful than reality. So, we get to experience the joys of claiming and disclaiming. Isn't that super!

often a tough road for technology adoption

In reading about Google Print, one sentence stuck out to me.  It’s the same thing that I’ve often commented about when trying to evangelize for technology.

“The history of technology is replete with advances that first met wide opposition, later found wide acceptance, and finally were widely regarded as having been inevitable all along.”  ~David Drummond, Google General Counsel and Vice President, Corporate Development

I don’t think this will ever be overcome.  I think new things will always be absorbed at various rates.  However, I can learn from this and try to get better at working with those who will eventually adopt new technology.  Patience.
